Dakota Lofts is located in the heart of the warehouse district on the edge of Downtown. Built in 1911, Dakota was formally known as the Bute Paint Factory. In 1992, the Bute Paint Building was converted into The Dakota Lofts, patterning them after New York’s loft scene, creating the first sign of urban renewal in Downtown and setting the trend in Houston for “true loft lifestyle living.”

Just blocks from the University of Houston, Houston’s rail and next door to the famous Last Concert Café and Ox Heart Restaurant, Dakotas’s surroundings often give one the vibe of being in Downtown New Orleans. Dakotas old Historic looks mixed with modern day living creates the perfect space for anyone looking to live the “true loft style living.”
